In brief

What works, what to weigh

+

Strengths

4 reasons to book
  • Location, location, location — Guests consistently highlight the hotel’s central position, with the Metro, shops and restaurants right on the doorstep, and easy walking access to the city’s museums and monuments.
  • Score of 8.3 from over 3,700 reviews — A strong overall rating from a large sample, supported by high marks for value and service.
  • Clean, comfortable rooms — Reviews repeatedly note cleanliness, good beds and showers, and some rooms come with a terrace or balcony. The hotel offers quiet rooms at the back on request.
  • Helpful, friendly staff — The team is singled out for answering questions before arrival and being attentive during the stay.

Worth weighing

3 to weigh
  • Rooms can be compact — Some guests found their room on the small side, though this was noted as a minor issue rather than a dealbreaker.
  • Dining and rooms rated lower than location — Dining scored 6/10 and Rooms & cleanliness 5/10, so the in-house breakfast and room standards may not match the excellent location.
  • No major landmark within a short walk — The nearest listed landmark is 4.1 km away, so you’ll need transport or a longer walk to reach Santiago Bernabeu Stadium.

“The hotel is in the heart of the city, with Metro, shops and restaurants close by. Staff were very welcoming and helpful, and the room was spotless. A great base for walking to the centre, museums and monuments, and getting to the airport or train station is easy via Metro.”

“Excellent location and very quiet.”

8.3Verified guest

“The city-centre position couldn’t be beaten. Despite being right in the middle of Madrid, we heard almost no outside noise from our room. Staff were superb, both before arrival and during our stay, and the cleanliness was top-notch. The buffet breakfast was generous and easily worth 8–10 euros a day. We were lucky to get a room with a patio, which made the trip even better. Full credit to the team – we’d certainly stay here again on future trips.”
